CRAFTERS' WORKSHOP WITH SHARON HELSBY

IT'S NEVER TOO EARLY...Summer is just around the corner and we will be wishing for cooler weather before we know it.  Well, here's the solution....THINK FALL... COOL TEMPS....FALLING LEAVES...AND CHRISTMAS!  That's what the craft group will be thinking about as we begin preparing for our Annual Fall Festival and Food Fest which will take place on October 9. Our first workshop will be on Monday, June 28 at 9:30 a.m.  Other workshops will be held on the following dates, so you may wish to mark your calendars:

July 12, 19, 26, August 9, 16, 23, 30,Sept. 13, 20, 27, Oct. 4
Dates may be subject to change.  Workshops will run about 2 hours each week and workers are needed.  You don't have to have any particular skill, just a willingness to help.  We have jobs for everyone; so come join in the fun and fellowship of our workshops.  If you have any questions and suggestions for projects you would like to see at the Fall Festival, you can  contact Sharon Helsby at 732/251-2709 or       shelsby3@verizon.net.  Be sure to also put October 9 on your calendar.  Everyone is needed to make this event a success. 

SOCH SEWING GROUP:   No matter what your size or shape, there are places
reserved for you  at the SOCH SEWING, the first Monday of each month, Terrace Church.
 An ecumenical group of  women  sew puppets which are used for children at Southern
Ocean County Hospital and other places of need.
In 2008 over 2,500 puppets were made and used!

LONG BEACH ISLAND  METHODIST MEN'S GROUP:  No matter what your
size or shape, join the Methodist Men's Group, who meet for breakfast on the 3rd Wednesday at Fred's Diner in Beach Haven.

SEASONAL RETREATS AT TERRACE  FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH--
Fellowship Hall, a very large fully air conditioned banquet sized room, is adjacent to the
church and is backed by a modern restaurant sized kitchen-- a full facility.
Fellowship Hall has a large community room on the second floor,  also fully
airconditioned, several small classrooms, and two lavatories, complete with showers-- a
perfect place for youth groups and other church groups to spend a retreat weekend.
The Church and Fellowship Hall are
just a block from the beach for  kite flying and football in the fall;
and superb swimming in the Atlantic Ocean in the sumnmer. 
There's a short walking distance to snack shops,
restaurants, and the local WAWA.   The entire facility is available for a modest donation
